Advanced Skills in Vascular Surgery

This 2 day course is aimed at senior CTVS and general surgical trainees and junior consultants involved in the care of patients with limb threatening disease.

It offers hands on surgical skills training focussing on major aorto-iliac, axillary, upper and lower limb vessel exposures, tunnelling and anastamosis techniques relevant to limb salvage surgery.

1100 Cadaveric session 1: Femoral artery exposure / Patch repair

1330 Cadaveric session 2: Above and below knee popliteal exposure / Tibial vessel exposures / Axillary artery exposure

0830 Cadaveric session 3: Aortic and iliac artery exposures / Tunnelling techniques / Femoro-femoral, iliofemoral, aortofemoral, axillo-femoral
